NG Hwee Tou

NG Hwee Tou is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS), holding the Provost's Chair Professor title. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and Stanford University, respectively, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science for Data Management from the University of Toronto.

Research Focus: His work centers on Natural Language Processing (NLP) within the broader domains of Artificial Intelligence and Media. Key contributions include neural models for grammatical error correction, aspect extraction, machine translation, and automated essay scoring, often leveraging deep learning and attention mechanisms.
