N. Alachiotis

Nikolaos Alachiotis is a researcher at the University of Twente's Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, affiliated with the Computer Science department and the Computer Architecture Design and Test for Embedded Systems (CAES) group. His work spans computer architecture, parallel computing, and bioinformatics.

Research Focus: Design of specialized hardware acceleration architectures for applications in 3D-stacked DRAMs (DARPA-funded PERFECT project), cloud computing (EDRA), and disaggregated datacenters (dReDBox). Combines expertise in computer architecture with applications in bioinformatics and neural network acceleration.

Current affiliation at UT since 2020 involves research in digital society technologies through the Digital Society Institute. Collaborations include Carnegie Mellon University, FORTH-ICS, and European Union-funded research consortia.
