Her academic credentials include a PhD in Management from Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management (1996-2002) with doctoral research on "Industry Consolidating IPOs", and a dual undergraduate degree from Boğaziçi University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (1991-1996).
Her research specializes in Financial Economics with emphasis on Stock Market Dynamics and Risk Analysis, particularly examining emerging markets through advanced econometric techniques. Current investigations focus on volatility modeling and corporate governance frameworks within international finance contexts.
