Mónica Villaverde is a full-time Ph.D. researcher at the Centro de Electrónica Industrial (CEI), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Technical University of Madrid), under Spain's FPU program grant. She conducted a 3-month doctoral research stay in 2017 at the Design Automation and Reconfigurable Computing Laboratory (DARCLab) within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Texas at Dallas.

Her publications demonstrate expertise in adaptive hardware design, parallel processing, and radar-based target identification systems. She has contributed to conferences like IECON and Euromicro DSD through collaborative work with researchers such as D. Pérez and F. Moreno.
