Mário Caeiro

Mário Caeiro is a Lecturer and researcher at the Center for Communication and Culture Studies (CECC) under the Faculty of Human Sciences at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, with additional affiliations at LIDA (IPL) and ESAD.CR/IPL. His work bridges academic rigor with practical innovation, focusing on urban culture, public art, and light as a medium for urban transformation. As co-founder of the BELLA SKYWAY Light Festival in Toruń and curator of the TARS – ARTE DE SER TERRA program in Alentejo, Caeiro exemplifies interdisciplinary collaboration.

Caeiro has been recognized with the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2005) and mentors students in urban public space transformation and cultural projects. As a member of the Editorial Scientific Council of CONVOCARTE, he contributes to academic discourse. His work with TARS and Projecto Travessa da Ermida underscores his dedication to community-based cultural initiatives.
