Myrto D. Arapinis serves as a Reader (equivalent to Associate Professor) in Computer Security at the University of Edinburgh's School of Informatics, where she is affiliated with the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science. Her office is located in Room 5.27 of the Informatics Forum at 10 Crichton Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9AB.
Her research focuses on provable security and encompasses:
- Verification of cryptographic protocols
- Formal models and protocol composition
- Applied and quantum cryptography
- Mobile telephony security
- Electronic voting systems
- Statistical database privacy
