Myriam Rojas Salas

Myriam Rojas Salas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Catalysis Research and Technology (IKFT), part of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. Her current research focuses on synthesizing lignin oligomers for analytical applications within the Fast Pyrolysis of Biomass group.

Dr. Rojas Salas specializes in biomass thermochemical conversion and bio-based chemical production, with deep expertise in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC-FID/MS, FTIR) and kinetic modeling. Her research bridges sustainable waste valorization—spanning plastic recycling and agro-industrial biomass conversion—with precision analytical chemistry for developing bio-based products.
