Myriam Koch is a Professor at the High Voltage Laboratories of Technische Universität Darmstadt since 2022. Previously, she held a Professorship for High Voltage Engineering and Switchgear Technology at TU Munich (2020–2022). Her career includes roles as a Research Engineer at PFISTERER Kontaktsysteme GmbH (2015–2020) and a Scientific Assistant at ETH Zürich’s High Voltage Laboratories (2011–2015).
Her research focuses on advancing safe, sustainable, and future-proof electrical energy transmission systems. Key areas include developing equipment for reliable power transmission, exploring alternative gases for gas-insulated systems, and optimizing insulation materials for cable-based systems. Her work bridges academic research with industrial applications, emphasizing practical solutions for next-generation energy infrastructure.
