Myriam Charpentier is a researcher affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Department of Languages and Literatures, specializing in linguistics and sign language studies. Her work focuses on referential constructions in French Sign Language (LSF), with a particular emphasis on impersonal forms.

- Linguistics and sociolinguistics of sign languages
- Discourse analysis in visual-gestural communication
- Syntax and morphosyntactic structures in LSF
