Myra J. Hird is a Full Professor in the School of Environmental Studies at Queen’s University, Canada. She holds dual roles as a Queen’s National Scholar and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Her work focuses on waste studies, environmental humanities, and interdisciplinary research. Hird has represented Canada at international forums, including the G7 Microplastics Meeting (2019). She has secured over $13 million in research funding and authored 12 books and 83 articles.
