Dr. Muyu Lin is a Visiting Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy at Humboldt University of Berlin since August 2024. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Social Cognition Group (Berlin School of Mind and Brain, 2020-2023) and Ruhr University Bochum (2015-2019), with earlier visiting scholarship at Boston University (2013-2014).

Her research focuses on psychological processes of social interaction, including approach-avoidance behavior toward social stimuli, attentional biases in socially anxious individuals, school bullying and associated coping factors, and emotional episodic memories (especially traumatic intrusive memories).
Recent publication trends indicate cross-cultural comparisons (Germany-China-Pakistan), studies on social anxiety mechanisms, autism research using neuroimaging, validation of psychological assessment tools, and investigations into bullying consequences. Collaborations include prominent researchers like Prof. Isabel Dziobek (Dziobek Lab) and Prof. Jürgen Margraf.
As a Humboldt University scientific collaborator, she works at Rudower Chaussee 18 (Room 0'232) with affiliations to the Institute of Psychology's Clinical Psychology of Social Interaction unit.
