Mustafa YAKAR

Prof. Dr. Mustafa YAKAR is a Professor of Geography at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Afyon Kocatepe University. His academic career includes a BSc in Geography from Ankara University (2000), an MSc in Turkish Geography from Ankara University (2004), and a PhD in Geography from Afyon Kocatepe University (2009).

His research focuses on Population Geography, Internal Migration, and Spatial Population Analysis, with notable contributions to understanding regional aging patterns, migration networks, and the spatial distribution of Turkey’s population. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including studies on demographic trends, cultural iconography of population policies, and spatial analysis of migration networks.
