Mustafa Kemal İZ is an Assistant Professor at Doğuş University, affiliated with the Faculty of Art and Design in the Department of Graphic Design. He teaches courses such as Graphic Design History, Photography, and Experimental Art Studio.
- PhD in Design, Technology, and Society (2022) from Özyeğin University
- MA in Graphic Design and Media Studies (2011) from Bilkent University
- BA in Philosophy (2009) from Middle East Technical University
His research focuses on the intersection of graphic design, art history, and visual culture, with a particular interest in dematerialization in conceptual art and cultural symbolism in design. His published works include translations of art and design books such as Renoir and Turner, focusing on historical and theoretical frameworks.
Recent projects involve analyzing the transformation of visual perception in 19th-century Ottoman culture and exploring pedagogical approaches in art and design education. He also holds administrative roles as Department Head (2024) and Vice Department Head (2022) at Doğuş University's Graphic Design Department.
