معرفی
Mustafa Özduran is a full-time Professor in the Department of Physics at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. His academic journey includes a PhD in Physics from Gazi University (1996-2004), an MSc in Physics from Yüzüncü Yıl University (1992-1995), and a BSc in Physics from Ondokuz Mayıs University (1983-1988).
His research focuses on computational materials physics, specializing in Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Physics, and Semiconductors. He employs density functional theory (DFT) to investigate structural, electronic, elastic, and thermodynamic properties of advanced materials including Heusler alloys, perovskites, and spinel oxides for applications in spintronics and energy storage.
Özduran's recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on DFT-based studies of intermetallic compounds and functional materials. His work shows strong trends in:
- Predictive modeling of mechanical/electronic properties
- High-throughput screening of novel materials
- Thermodynamic stability analysis under extreme conditions
- Phonon dispersion relationships
- Magnetic property engineering
He has supervised 7 Master's students working on computational materials projects. His extensive grant portfolio includes 21 research projects, with recent funding for:
- Perovskite material AI modeling (2025-2027)
- Cubic intermetallic alloy investigations (2023-2024)
- Platinum-based Heusler compounds (2022-2024)
Özduran collaborates extensively with the Theoretical Solid-State Physics Group and maintains research partnerships with 41 collaborators internationally, including frequent co-authorship with researchers from Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.
