Muriel Médard

Muriel Médard is the NEC Professor of Software Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) within the School of Engineering. Her research focuses on Communications Systems, Information Science and Systems, and Networking, with additional expertise in materials science and quantum devices. She holds a leadership role in AI+D initiatives at MIT.

Recent recognitions include awards highlighted in the School of Engineering's second quarter 2022 report. Her work has contributed to advancements in communication theory and network architectures. She is based in Office 36-512 and can be reached at medard@mit.edu.
