Murat Ocak is an Associate Professor at Trakya University's Uzunköprü School of Applied Sciences, where he has been a faculty member since 2013. He earned his PhD in Business Administration (Accounting specialization) from Istanbul University in 2013 and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university in 2005.
His primary research interests lie in audit quality, corporate governance, and the impact of individual characteristics on audit and firm outcomes. His work frequently employs archival studies in auditing and has contributed to journals such as PLOS One, Gender in Management, and Journal of Business Ethics. Recent publications explore topics like religious hometown influences on audit quality, gender dynamics in audit firm selection, and corporate governance's role in financial reporting.
