Murat Koyuncu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Boğaziçi University, where he has been a faculty member since 2009, and currently serves as a visiting faculty member at McGill University.
His educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington, Seattle (2009), an MA in Economics, and a BS in Industrial Engineering, all obtained from Middle East Technical University, Ankara.
Dr. Koyuncu's research centers on Growth Theory, Inequality, Development Economics, and Political Economy, with specific focus on the political economy of social conflicts in emerging markets. His interdisciplinary work bridges economic modeling with socio-political analysis of development challenges.
