Muntasir Al-Asfoor

Muntasir Al-Asfoor is a Senior Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University (since 2022) and previously lectured in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Reading. He holds a PhD in Computing and Electronic Systems from the University of Essex (2014). His research focuses on distributed artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and intelligent routing in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). He emphasizes applying AI techniques to enhance data processing in distributed network environments.

He is a member of IEEE and IAENG, and pursuing membership in the Higher Education Academy. His collaborations include work with Prof. Maria Fasli (University of Essex), Prof. Salah Al-Majeed (University of Lincoln), and international researchers from Germany, Australia, Ireland, and the Middle East.

As a Course Leader, he oversees multiple programs including BSc Computer Science (Blended Learning/Full Time), BSc Computer Science with AI, MEng Computer Science, and MSc Data Science at Buckinghamshire New University. He also contributes to the MSc Computer Science (Conversion) and BSc Computing courses.
