Mulako Mukelabai is a Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University's Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering, where he holds a fully funded PhD studentship (50% EPSRC, 50% Doctoral College). His research focuses on renewable energy systems, hydrogen technology, and machine learning applications in energy systems. Previously, he worked as a Power Plant Operations Engineer at Wartsila (2017-2019) and earned a distinction in his MSc in Energy Systems and Thermal Processes from Cranfield University (2019-2020). He graduated with a first-class honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zambia (2011-2016).
His research interests include hydrogen feasibility analysis, renewable hydrogen systems optimization, energy poverty in the Global South, and sustainable energy technologies. He has published extensively on topics such as hydrogen adoption in Africa, machine learning-driven energy modeling, and green power-to-ammonia systems.

His research bridges policy, technology, and socio-economic factors to advance clean energy transitions, particularly in developing regions.
