Mukul Bansal is an Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering in the School of Computing at the University of Connecticut. He leads the Computational Biology Research Group where they develop novel computational methods, efficient algorithms, and software tools to address fundamental biological questions. His primary campus location is in Storrs, CT.
Research Focus: Dr. Bansal's work spans computational biology and bioinformatics, with specialized expertise in computational phylogenetics and comparative genomics. His research group additionally explores foundational topics in algorithms and combinatorial optimization to solve complex biological problems.
