Muhsin KONUK is a Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Üsküdar University. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Swansea University (1994) and has been a faculty member since 1996. His research focuses on neurogenetics, toxicology, and in silico modeling with over 100 publications. He leads the BİYOTEKMER Research Center and chairs the Neurogenetics Research Group.

- Academic Titles: Full Professor since 2002; former Head of Molecular Biology Department at Afyon Kocatepe University
Research Interests: Neurodegenerative diseases, molecular mechanisms of schizophrenia, plant-derived antioxidants, and nanobiotechnology applications. Key projects include CRISPR-based genetic interventions and neuroprotective drug development.
Awards: TÜBİTAK-Ulakbim Award (2019) and Scientist of the Year (2023) for contributions to neurobiology and toxicology.
Grants/Projects: EU-PoTaRCh (tar production research), Alzheimer’s genetic analysis, and personalized medicine for neuropsychiatric disorders. Administers over 20 research grants.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Neurogenetics Lab and Computational Biology Unit at Üsküdar University.
