Muhammad Shahid Farid

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Farid is an Associate Professor and Chairman at the Department of Computer Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his B.S., M.Sc., and M.Phil. from the University of the Punjab and a Ph.D. from the University of Turin, Italy. He completed postdoctoral research at Qatar University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

He has secured significant grants, including two HEC NRPU awards and a 14-million-rupee Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB) grant. Dr. Farid has served as a Session Chair at ICACS'24, Area Chair at ACM SIGMM and ACM IMX, and reviewer for funding bodies like UKRI and HEC Pakistan.

Dr. Farid is an Area Editor for PLOS One and Mathematical Problems in Engineering. He is a member of IEEE and ACM, and an HEC Pakistan-approved Ph.D. supervisor.
