Muhammad Osman is an Associate Professor in Public Health and Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the University of Greenwich. Trained as a clinician in South Africa, he has extensive experience in TB and HIV medicine, health management, and epidemiological research. His work focuses on tuberculosis epidemiology, health systems, and improving TB care in resource-limited settings.
Osman holds an MBChB, PGCHE, PG Dip HM, MSc Epi, and PhD. He previously managed primary health care services in Cape Town and conducted research at Stellenbosch University. His current research examines TB diagnosis, treatment outcomes, and healthcare delivery challenges, particularly in South African contexts. Recent publications analyze COVID-19's impact on TB services and interventions to reduce loss to follow-up.
