Muhammad Aslam

Dr. Muhammad Aslam is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the UCI School of Medicine, specializing in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine. He focuses on congenital heart disease, chronic lung conditions like bronchopulmonary dysplasia, noninvasive ventilation, and stem cell therapies for neonatal lung disease. He completed his medical training at Punjab Medical College, residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, and fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. His research explores maternal-fetal immune interactions (e.g., SARS-CoV-2 antibody transfer) and neonatal diagnostic protocols using umbilical cord blood.
