Muhamed Horo is a Research Associate at the Chair of Structural Analysis at Technical University of Munich since 2024. He holds an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Technical University of Munich (2021–2024) and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (2013–2019).
Research Interests:
- Wind Engineering (modelling/simulation, vibrations, flexible membrane wings)
- Isogeometric Analysis (B-Rep elements, design of membrane structures)
- Structural Optimization (node-based approaches, additive manufacturing in construction)
- Multiphysics and Fluid-Structure Interaction
- Mesh regularization and robust mesh-moving techniques
- Smart structures and lightweight design
Third-Party Projects: Involved in CoDA, Mistralwind, WINSENT, FlexWing, Digital Building Kit, and Generalized Force Density Method.
Software Expertise: Carat++, Kratos Multiphysics, Windgenerator, TeDA, Kiwi!3D.
