Prof. Muammer ÖZKAN serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He has held academic positions since 1990, progressing from Research Assistant to his current Professorship since 2015, with additional leadership as Head of Department since 2016.

He has pioneered research on biodiesel applications and developed advanced modeling techniques for public transportation systems.
His publication record shows consistent research output with 15 recent articles (2020-2024) demonstrating strong focus on emission reduction strategies, low-temperature combustion techniques, and optimization of public transportation systems.
