Mouhamedoul Niang is an Associate Professor of French and Italian at Colby College, specializing in Francophone African literature and cinema. His research explores innovative literary aesthetics, narratives of identity, and the intersections of gender, body, and space in postcolonial contexts.
His work engages with African Studies, postcolonial theory, and decolonial frameworks to analyze how cultural and historical ideologies shape literary representation. He has published extensively on topics including nationalism, totemism, occultism, and transcultural dynamics in African and Creolist literatures.
