Mostafa Asheghan

Dr. Mostafa Asheghan is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He holds dual Ph.D. degrees: one in Electrical Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University (Iran, 2011) and another in Multimedia from the University of Carlos III (Spain, 2014). His research focuses on model/data-driven control, nonlinear dynamics, and biomedical applications such as cardiac electrical activity modeling. He has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Carlos III and Harvard Medical School, contributing to heart disorder studies and early arrhythmia detection via chaos theory. He also served as an assistant professor in Iran and adjunct instructor at Northeastern University.
