Morten Willatzen is a Professor and Head of Department at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, part of the The Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University. His research focuses on quantum theory, nanostructure physics, and computational geometry, particularly in applications to material science and electrostatic phenomena. He leads the BLUE – Marine & Maritime Research initiative and is the Project Manager for the Blue Math project (2024–present).
Recent work includes contributions to understanding triboelectricity through quantum models, differential geometry applications in nanostructure analysis, and tribovoltaic effects. His collaborative projects involve experts in mathematics and engineering, reflecting interdisciplinary strengths. No scientific awards are listed, but his active role in major research initiatives underscores his leadership in the field.
Advising and grants include overseeing the Blue Math project, which bridges fluid dynamics and mathematics. His research outputs span book chapters and peer-reviewed articles, emphasizing both theoretical and applied physics. No formal advisees are listed, though collaborations with colleagues like Lok C. Lew Yan Voon and Benny Lassen highlight team-driven research.
