Morten Skovsgaard

Morten Skovsgaard is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Southern Denmark, with affiliations to the Digital Democracy Centre, SDU Climate Cluster, and SDU SCC Elite Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and serves as a researcher in the Centre for Understanding Human Relationships with the Environment (CUHRE) and the Journalistikkens grønne omstilling (GRO) project. His work bridges journalism, political science, and climate communication.

Research Interests: Morten Skovsgaard focuses on Journalism, Artificial Intelligence, and Climate Crisis communication. His recent studies explore AI’s impact on journalistic roles, constructive climate reporting, and audience engagement with digital news. He leads projects like Media habits and the environment, analyzing how media consumption shapes perceptions of sustainability in Odense’s Green Mobility Plan.
