Morten Otto Alexander Sommer

Morten Otto Alexander Sommer is a Professor and Scientific Director at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His work focuses on synthetic biology, microbiome engineering, and antimicrobial resistance, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and environmental sustainability.

• Engineering microbial systems for therapeutic and industrial applications
• Mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and microbiome dynamics
• Development of advanced microbiome-based treatments for metabolic diseases
