Morris Gordon

Professor Morris Gordon is a leading academic in the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). He holds multiple key roles including Director of the Biomedical Evidence Synthesis and Translations to Practice (BEST) unit, Coordinating Editor for the UCLan Cochrane Gut editorial satellite group, and Chair of the Best Evidence Medical Education (BEME) Collaboration Executive. He is an NIHR Cochrane Programme Grant holder and serves as Head of Transitions and Careers.

His research focuses on gastrointestinal disorders, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), functional abdominal pain, and evidence synthesis methodologies. He has pioneered work on guideline development for IBD management, pediatric gastrointestinal conditions, and evidence-based medical education.
