Moritz Moeller

Dr. Moritz Moeller is a doctoral student and research assistant at the Chair of Applied Analysis, Faculty of Mathematics, Chemnitz University of Technology. He has been an ESF scholarship holder since 2023, contributing to function space theory and approximation algorithms.

His research focuses on Fourier analysis, approximation theory, and s-numbers, particularly in high-dimensional settings. Recent work examines tractable sampling numbers and Gelfand widths in weighted Wiener spaces, with applications to signal processing and machine learning.

Moeller's publications explore asymptotic behavior of mixed Wiener spaces, sparse trigonometric approximations, and sampling discretization in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. He has presented at international conferences including the 10th International Conference on Mathematical Methods for Curves and Surfaces (Oslo, 2024) and the Workshop and Summer School on Applied Analysis (Chemnitz, 2023).

At TU Chemnitz, he teaches Advanced Mathematics III (WS2023/24) and Advanced Mathematics II (SS2023) for mechanical engineering students, covering exercises and practical training in Fourier methods and numerical analysis.
