Moritz Langer

Dr. Moritz Langer is a Researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI), specializing in permafrost research. His work focuses on land surface processes in the Arctic, modeling permafrost landscape dynamics, and thermal remote sensing. He leads the BMBF Young Investigator Group PermaRisk, which assesses erosion processes in permafrost landscapes under climate change, evaluating risks to ecosystems and infrastructure in the Arctic.
