Mori Jamshidian is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He holds a PhD and MA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a BA in Mathematics from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. His research focuses on computational statistics, statistics education, analysis of incomplete data, computational psychometrics, and biostatistics. He regularly teaches graduate courses in statistical computing, statistical consulting, probability, and undergraduate courses in introductory statistics and numerical analysis.
His publications emphasize methodological advancements in handling missing data mechanisms, multivariate analysis, and statistical software development. Notable works include the MissMech R package for testing data mechanisms and homogeneity, and contributions to simultaneous confidence bands in regression analysis. His work bridges theoretical statistics with practical applications in education, biostatistics, and engineering.
While no formal awards are noted, his extensive publication record and software contributions highlight his impact in computational and applied statistics. He has advised on collaborative projects with colleagues in diverse fields such as psychometrics and biomedical research. His research often addresses challenges in data analysis, particularly in ensuring robustness against missing data and improving statistical education practices.
