Research Interests: Flegeau’s work centers on socio-ecological transitions, analyzing how urban forms impact terrestrial biodiversity in Western cities. She investigates the evolution of green belts like the Île-de-France Green Belt, examining their spatial, territorial, and landscape reconfigurations in metropolitan contexts. Her studies also address the coexistence of inherited local strategies with emerging biodiversity-based urban planning paradigms.
Recent Publications: Her 2022 articles discuss biodiversity as a driver for urban development in Le Mans and Strasbourg, while earlier works (2021–2018) focus on green belt dynamics, systematic biodiversity mapping protocols, and socio-territorial interactions in vegetated urban margins.
