Mooketsi Molefi

Mooketsi Molefi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine & Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Botswana. He is also affiliated with the Center for Global Health as an International Scholar, reflecting his engagement in global health research and collaborations.

His research focuses on key public health challenges in Botswana and sub-Saharan Africa, including Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Informatics. His work spans HIV/AIDS, cryptococcal meningitis, tuberculosis, road traffic accidents, and suicide epidemiology. He has led studies on the impact of China's lockdown during the pandemic and evaluates diagnostic tools for meningitis and TB in pediatric and adult populations.

His recent publications indicate strong activity in clinical and epidemiological research, particularly in HIV-related comorbidities, advanced HIV disease, and diagnostic innovations. His work frequently involves collaboration with international institutions and contributes to evidence-based public health policy in Botswana.
