Prof. Monique van Dijk-Groeneboer is a Full Professor at the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology, specializing in Religion and Practice. Her work bridges religious education, youth theology, and identity formation in contemporary society. She actively engages in academic and public discourses, delivering over 60 invited talks and presentations since 2008 across Europe and North America.
Her research focuses on youth spirituality, interfaith education, and Catholic identity in secular contexts. She has organized international conferences, edited journal special issues (e.g., Religie & Samenleving), and reviewed manuscripts for journals like Handelingen. Tijdschrift voor Praktische Theologie. She is a founding member of the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (IASYM) and chairs multiple committees in religious and educational organizations.
Recent activities include keynote speeches on synodal theology, resilience in education, and youth autonomy. She advocates for interdisciplinary approaches to fostering resilient professionals and collaborates across faculties to integrate spirituality and identity into curricula.
