Monika Wolińska is an Associate Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she teaches symphonic and opera conducting. She made history as the first woman appointed Head of the Department of Symphonic-Opera Conducting in October 2020.
- Studied violin, conducting vocal and instrumental ensembles at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, and symphonic and opera conducting at the Academy of Music in Warsaw.
- Completed Postgraduate General Management Studies (2015) at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Management.
A renowned symphonic conductor, she promotes contemporary music through premieres and festivals. Her work includes conducting at Carnegie Hall (2020), directing the Wojciech Kilar Contemporary Music Festival (2013–2017), and premiering compositions for cultural anniversaries like Jagiellonian University's 650th anniversary.
Her debut album (2012) with Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra received critical acclaim and a Fryderyk Award nomination. She has collaborated with artists like Thomas Hampson and participated in masterclasses with Kurt Masur and Pierre Boulez.
