Monika Polak is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science (Instruction) at the University of Rochester's Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska (2016), where her dissertation focused on algebraic graph theory applications in coding and cryptography. Prior to her current role, she served as a Lecturer (2017–2023) and Senior Lecturer (2023) at RIT's Computer Science department. Her expertise includes cryptography, quantum-resistant systems, and theoretical computer science.
