Monika Peschke is a Researcher in the Marine Biogeochemistry division (FB 2) at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel. She is affiliated with both the Biological Oceanography and Biogeochemical Modelling research units.
Her research focuses on marine biogeochemical processes with emphasis on ocean-climate interactions, carbon cycling, and ecosystem dynamics. Key interests include biological oceanography, biogeochemical modelling, and the role of marine systems in global climate regulation.
Dr. Peschke contributes to GEOMAR's core research program "Changing Earth – Sustaining our Future" with particular relevance to climate protection initiatives and marine carbon sinks research.
