Monika Kamenečki serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Ornamental Plants, Landscape Architecture and Garden Art at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb. She has held this position since 2018 after serving as an Assistant from 2016-2017, with office location in the 4th Pavilion, ground floor, room 041. Her academic foundation was established at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Agriculture where she completed her PhD in 2005 under Professor Branka Aničić, researching landscape protection in Krapina-Zagorje County.
Dr. Kamenečki's research explores innovative approaches to sustainable landscape development:

- Strategic application of ornamental plants in design
- Green infrastructure including green roofs and living walls
- Cultural heritage landscape restoration

Dr. Kamenečki leads significant landscape architecture projects including Horizon Europe's ARCADIA initiative (2024-2028) and cultural heritage restorations at Oršić Palace in Jakovlje, Lazarević-Gučetić summer residence in Dubrovnik, and Split's Marjan Botanical Garden, demonstrating expertise in translating research into practice.
