Monika Ballwein is a Lecturer for Voice and Vocal Performance at the University of Teacher Education Salzburg (2022–present). She also serves as a guest lecturer at institutions including the University of Music Vienna and multiple teacher education colleges. Active since age 16 as a professional singer, she founded her Academy for Voice, Singing, and Entertainment in 2004 and completed a CVT certification at Copenhagen's CVI in 2012.
Her research focuses on innovative vocal pedagogy, particularly Complete Vocal Technique (CVT). Key achievements include mentoring Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst (2014) and producing over 1,500 song recordings. Notable collaborations span artists like Rainhard Fendrich, Udo Jürgens, and Chaka Khan, alongside TV work with Dancing Stars Orchestra and commercials.
Recipient of the Lower Austrian Culture Prize (2023) and Golden Decoration of Honor (2022), she has also directed the Voices of Volunteers choir at Eurovision 2015. Teaching spans vocal performance, music education, and entertainment vocal techniques.
