Dr. Monica Lupion is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University at Buffalo’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. She also serves as Associate Director of Technology Planning at the Linde Research. Her work spans academia, government, and industry, including roles as an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the University of Seville, Spain, and as an expert evaluator for the European Commission. She previously led multi-disciplinary research at MIT Energy Initiative on energy systems and low-carbon technologies. Dr. Lupion’s research focuses on energy innovation, CCS techno-economic evaluation, and policy frameworks for sustainable energy systems. She is developing a new co-op program to enhance student-industry connections.
