Monica Cherry is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MArch in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Hertfordshire's School of Creative Arts, where she also serves as Head of Level 5 for the BA Architecture program. With over 20 years of professional experience in housing design, masterplanning, and design management, she bridges academic rigor with industry practice through strategic partnerships with UK housing developers and public bodies.

Cherry's publications reveal evolving expertise from Welsh architectural history (Building Wales, 2006) to contemporary educational frameworks integrating adaptive reuse pedagogy. Her recent work analyzes how architectural education must evolve to prepare students for climate-responsive design challenges through studio-based learning and industry partnerships.
