Monica Anne Festa is an Adjunct Professor and ESL Instructor at LaRoche University's ESL department within the Pathway program. She holds a PhD in Languages, Literatures, Cultures, and their Applications from the University of Salento, Italy, a Master’s in the Science of Instruction from Drexel University, a Bachelor’s in Drama from the University of Washington, and a Cambridge English Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults.

Her research interests focus on improving educational practices through technology, reducing bias in teaching/learning, gamification, and curriculum design. She has extensive international teaching experience, instructing courses like Academic Writing, IELTS/TOEFL preparation, and Workplace Preparedness across the UAE and Morocco from 2004 to 2025. Additional training includes a Professional Certificate in Online Education (University of Wisconsin, 2021) and certifications in interactive syllabus design and gamified learning environments via the Online Learning Consortium.
