Monia MONTORSI

Monia Montorsi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Sciences and Methods, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Her research focuses on sustainable materials science, smart technologies for horticulture, and advanced production processes. She teaches courses in materials technology and production optimization for Management Engineering students.

Her research interests include:

• Development of smart materials for energy, environmental, and agricultural applications
• Optimization of LED lighting for vertical farming and plant growth
• Phase change materials for thermal energy storage in buildings
• Valorization of organic waste through black soldier fly larvae and bio-based fertilizers
• Statistical design methods (DoE) for material and process optimization
