Momar Ndiaye

Momar Ndiaye is Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance at The Ohio State University. An internationally-recognized dance artist from Senegal, he holds an MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he taught contemporary and traditional African dance forms. His creative practice spans intercultural collaborations and choreographic innovation.

Research focuses include:

• Contemporary African dance techniques
• Transnational choreographic exchange
• Intercultural performance projects
• Video documentation of movement

His evening-length work Toxu (2015) was a finalist at Danse L'Afrique Danse Festival and toured Europe. He has collaborated with choreographer Andreya Ouamba and participated in international festivals including Impuls Tanz (Vienna) and Belluard Festival (Switzerland).
