Moli ZHAO is an Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Mechanics within the School of Civil Engineering at Shandong University.
- Education: Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics (Shandong University, 2014), Joint Ph.D. in Hydrology (University of Alabama, 2013), MS in Computational Mathematics (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 2005), BS in Computational Mathematics (Shanxi University, 2002)
- Employment: Post-doctoral researcher at Shandong University (2015-2018), Shanxi University faculty (2005-2010)
Her research focuses on fluid-solid coupling theory, rheological simulation of fractured rock mass, and convection stability in porous media. She has contributed to understanding nonlinear damage models in rocks, time-dependent fluid-stress interactions, and anomalous diffusion phenomena.
The 12 publications (2015-present) highlight her work on Darcy-Brinkman convection, non-Newtonian fluid dynamics, and microscale transport phenomena, with applications in geomechanics and biological systems. Her methods combine analytical solutions, numerical simulations, and stability analysis of complex fluid flows.
