Moiz Mumtaz is an Adjunct Professor in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health. He serves as the principal representative of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR/CDC) on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods (ICCVAM). His affiliations include the Society of Toxicology (SOT), where he formerly served as president of its Mixtures Specialty Section.
Research Interests: Dr. Mumtaz focuses on toxicity and risk assessment methods for environmental chemicals/pollutants. His work spans computational tools for chemical mixtures, dopamine metabolism/mental health, comparative toxicology, chemical exposure analysis, and public health implications. He emphasizes translational research linking environmental exposures to human health outcomes.
